Hamilton Heights (TN) 90
Memphis (TN) Central 41
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Hamilton Heights girls basketball team tipped off the final day of the Music City Classic with a 90-41 thrashing of Memphis Central.
Hamilton Heights came out smoldering, reeling off a 15-2 run to open the game. Memphis Central would drop in two straight buckets of their own to stop the bleeding, but Hamilton Heights would close the frame much in the same fashion in which it opened with a 9-2 run behind a pair of threes and a layup from Treasure Hunt.
From there it was all Hamilton Heights. The Hawks led 40-19 at the half and led by as many as 53 points in the fourth quarter before settling in for the 49-point final margin.
Memphis Central’s scoring was topped by Kynadi Kuykendoll’s eight points.
Hunt led the scoring parade for Hamilton Heights with 22 points, while Elizabeth Balogun added 18 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.
